The Rock ‘n’ Roll Walk-a-thon was a terrific success! Thank you
The entire school participated in the Rock ‘N’ Roll Walk-a-thon on an absolutely gorgeous Autumn day! It was a fun afternoon of fun activities and…walking! All to earn the pledges received by students to support our school. And they did it!!!! Our students did it – they not only met but they exceeded the $15,000 goal which was set for them!
The week’s rain cleared out in plenty of time for an absolutely perfect afternoon for walking the school grounds and enjoying fun activities on the playground and in the gym and cafeteria!
A big thank you to Coach for planning and coordinating the indoor activities and all the volunteers who helped in any way during the day’s events. Many thanks to our event sponsors and everyone who pledged money to support our student walkers. As always, these events could not happen without the involvement and support of our principal, faculty and staff. So much gratitude to go around!
Pledges received by November 3rd at 10:00 am and will be tallied in the calculations determining the overall class winner. The winning class will be announced the week of 11/6. Any pledges that are received after the 3rd will be applied to Parent Commitment (75%).
Now the students will enjoy their rewards – an evening without homework, a dress down day, an Afternoon of Gratitude, a concert by Mr. Howe’s band, Disciples of Christ, and the opportunity to slime Mr. Howe!
