| The theatrical arts have been an important part of St. Anthony School for many years. The Drama Club exists for the students and helps to build a strong sense of community through a shared interest. The students develop theatrical skills and a sense of pride in mounting a major production each year. Our director, Penny Owen, of this year's play wrote: "This is a busman's holiday for me. I spend my free time here for one reason: Saint Anthony School has built a caring community that makes working here fun for me. Your children are considerate and optimistic about life; and your faculty and staff support our projects in ways that made it a pleasant experience for everyone involved. This year's play,"Godspell Jr.," is about building a Christian community and what was fun about doing it was that the students KNEW how to do that before we started rehearsals!" Students in grades 6-8 are eligible to become members of the SAS Drama Club. |
