St. Anthony School provides a strong academic program for students in PreK–8 and strives to instill religious, social and intellectual principles into the mind and heart of each child. In the spirit of St. Francis, St. Anthony School guides students toward their development as faith-filled Catholics and responsible citizens in our complex, ever-changing society.
As I pondered this message the St. Anthony School Mission Statement kept coming back to me. What incredibly beautiful words—but that’s all they will be—beautiful words—unless our teachers, our principal, our clergy, and all our staff take them to heart and live by them. And most of all that our parents believe in and support what we are all about.
Each of us, brothers and sisters, is part of this wonderful venture of helping to raise these children to be “faith-filled Catholics and responsible citizens.” What an awesome task God has given us. And we must be doing something right because so many of our graduates have gone on to lead healthy, good and productive lives.
So I pray that all of us will continue to do all we can to support St. Anthony and further its mission of “religious, social and intellectual principles” that will help our children confront and master the challenges life presents in our world today.
